Chapelton Primary School is a co-educational, non-denominational school situated in the village of Chapelton near Strathaven. The school caters for children from Primary 1 to Primary 7 and our current roll is 67. (As of March 2024). As a small school we have multi-composite classes and each year these may change dependant on the number of pupils at each stage. The Head Teacher will decide on the class configuration each year depending on current role and new intake of pupils.

As part of South Lanarkshire Council’s investment in improving our school buildings, our new school opened for pupils on 12^th November 2010.
