On behalf of everyone at Chapelton Primary, I would like to warmly welcome you to our school website.

At Chapelton Primary we aim to provide a high quality education for all to enable every child to become a successful learner, a confident individual, a responsible citizen and an effective contributor to society. We endeavour to create a warm, happy, caring, inclusive and welcoming environment in which children learn that courtesy, good manners and consideration for others are very important qualities. As a whole staff team, we work hard to ensure that all children are provided with stimulating learning opportunities that recognise and celebrate their uniqueness and equip them with the skills and confidence to embrace the world in which we live, as well as the challenges of life in the 21st Century. At every level, an ethos of aspirations and ambition is encouraged and equality of opportunity is afforded for all.

I hope that you find our website both interesting and informative. Please do not hesitate to contact the school should you have any further enquiries.

Vision and Values

Chapelton Primary is a place where we feel happy, safe, valued and included, and work together to develop skills to achieve our full potential.

Our Strathaven Learning Community share vision and values for our schools and our young people. Chapelton Primary, Glassford Primary, Gilmourton Primary, Kirklandpark Primary, Sandford Primary, Wester Overton Primary and Strathaven Academy all share the vision of ‘Together We Thrive’ and share the values ‘Responsible, Respectful, Resilient’.

We work collaboratively to turn our shared vision into a sustainable reality. Our shared values give us a basis for the conversations and discussions we have on a daily basis, and our vision helps to support and inform our decisions as we move forward together. We confidently look ahead to the future as well as being rightly proud of what we have already achieved as a Learning Community – Together We Thrive.
